Hey guys! I know I know, I’m slacking on my bloggin’. Even with my book reviews! 🙁
BUT! In spite of that, I’m really growing in my school, and in life. So still a YAY!
Just a bit of an update, if someone is curious (or nosy) enough to want to know about my personal life. 😉
I’m currently on my second week for my first year second semester at Hillsong International Bible College, and I’m still loving it! Looking back for the past year, I have really come a long long way. And I don’t regret the decision of following God’s call in my life. Not even one bit. Sure, it hasn’t been a journey of sweets and roses but with God in and with me, I am absolutely fantastic! In fact the hashtag we all use “#thisislivingnow” which came from the Young&Free song title, is very much true in all of our lives. Seriously, lives are being changed daily, and it blows my mind.
It’s the month of August already and usually this month is so so nostalgic for me. It’s my Dad’s birthday on the 8th and his Death anniversary on the 27th. I still get sad and I do do miss him everyday, but much more during this month. I’ve been dreaming about him often too! Which is crazy but I’m grateful. When they said about losing people from your life? That it gets easier? Well, it does get easier in time, but honestly, the number of percentage that you miss them grows and grows. Well, that’s how it is for me.
Anyway! On the positive note again, I have more friends who now lives in Sydney who are from my city in the Philippines! YAY! Hopefully that number grows and grows. I hung out with them this week (probably three times!) and I love loved it. There’s just something different hangin’ out with people from your hometown, you know what I’m sayin’? (seriously, my slangs are turning into …)
What am I up to now? Well, now, I’m starting to apply to jobs. I have something brewing up and I know God will give me the right job at His right time. Waiting is the hardest part of every journey! Aah. And also, when I went home to the Philippines for the break, I went and saw my Mom. (I might make another post for this–it’s a good story I promise!) It was a good break for me. And we also transferred apartments (out of the college housing), which is more friendly to our pockets. Classes have already begun and so far so good. Learning much but not yet a lot…
For August, we’re doing a new series on church which is pretty cool. I love how every season there are new things our church is anticipating. I won’t go to any details with this (you can check out hillsong.com for more) but I will tell you that on Saturdays (on the city campus at least) we have a Love, Marriage and Relationships series, on Sunday mornings it’s Acts, and on Sunday nights it’s “Sunday Night Live”, where we present the Gospel in more creative ways. And if y’all are curious, you are all welcome to join us (this is my invitation to you). 🙂
OKAY. So, at this point, I don’t know what to write anymore except I hope you have a lovely day! And thanks for reading my post! (even if it’s so random and not cohesive haha)
